The Real Ale Wobble once again returned to Llanwrtyd Wells on Saturday. The cycle ride is part of the Green Events organised Mid-Wales Beer festival. 480 cyclists started the event from the Bromsgrove Hall at Ysgol Dolafon, and the riders could choose to do a long route of 35km or a short route of 21km. On the route through the Irfon forest and the deep Nant Cerdin, there were four black runs with technical descents and two feeding stations serving real ale. The route was expertly marked and marshaled by Cycle-Tec from Builth Wells. In the evening cyclists gathered at the Neuadd for an evening of rock music with the famous and legendary “Dangerous Dave”. The Real Ale Wobble is a real community event with a large donation going to Ysgol Dolafon.
