Man V Horse

Once again the famous race Man V Horse returned to Llanwrtyd. The conditions were hot and humid. There were 709 finishers, including runners and riders, and there were not surprisingly in the heat 50 DNF. The open winner was Daniel Connolly running for Salomon in a time of 2hrs, 24min, 38 sec. The women’s open winner was Suzt Whatmough, Ranelagh Harriers in a time of 3hrs, 18min, 16sec. The relay team prize was won by The Red Arrows in a time of 3hrs, 16min, 57sec. The first rider was Kate Atkinson on DNS Ronald’s in a time of 2hrs, 34min, 25sec. Once again, for the second-year runners, the horse was beaten by a runner, in fact the first two runners. An army of volunteers from Llanwrtyd ensured once again this unique race was successful.
