The Ron Skilton Annual Memorial-off-road half marathon took place on Sunday, 23rd October 2022. The race starts and finishes at the centre of Llanwrtyd Wells outside the Neuadd Arms Hotel. 112 runners started the race in very good conditions for long-distance running with no wind and a mild temperature, however, the previous night the Llanwrtyd area had been hit with very heavy rain, so the route was wet and muddy and the Cerdin stream which has to be crossed after 10 miles was very deep. The first male home was Robin Woods (Builth & District RC), in a good time on a very hilly course of 1hr, 35min, 15sec. Robin has won the race 4 times! The first female home was Katie Ironside in a time of 1hr, 51min, 43sec. The first relay team home was LewisDavies and Gareth Price in a time of 1hr, 59min, 45 sec.
