The gardening club and associated friends have been busy preparing Llanwrtyd to be judged in Wales in Bloom competition. The town’s floral displays are beautiful and imaginative, and in one display old walking boots are garlanded with flowers to celebrate the town’s Walkers are Welcome status. The judging message was “Helping our Communities Grow” to encourage voluntary support with others to improve their local environment. The judging was on the 14th of July, and Llanwrtyd is hoping they will gain a Gold to surpass the silver award they won in 2019. The results will be known in September.
