Welsh National Tractor Road Run

Yesterday, Llanwrtyd hosted the Welsh National Tractor Road Run, organised by Llanwrtyd Wells Tractor Enthusiasts. The aim of the run is twofold: that of a social event which brings together like-minded tractor enthusiasts to meet up with old and new friends and enjoy a scenic tour of the countryside abroad, their pride and joy. But, more importantly, it’s also an opportunity to raise funds for local and national charities and other commendable worthy causes.  Cancer Research Wales and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution were the chosen charities for this day. This was the ninth running of the event. Approximately 150 tractors journeyed from Llanwrtyd through the quiet lanes to Cefn Gorwydd, Tirabad, Llangammarch Wells, Garth, Beulah, and Abergwesyn. A good crowd attended the square at Llanwrtyd both at the start and finish of the event. Well done to the local organising committee for making such a fantastic event possible.
